Greetings!

My name is Danielle, but most of my friends and family call me Dani. I live in Iowa with my husband, Andrew, our new daughter, Lily, and our "fur babies" Lady and Riley.

Lily was born April 5th, and being a Mom is the best gift I've ever been given. She is my world! She was very sick after she was born and spent a week in the NICU, absolutely the single-most longest week of my life. But thanks to some excellent antibiotics and the quick action of her pediatrician, Lily will have no long term effects from her illness. Lily has such a personality already at nearly 4 months!  I learn something new about myself and her every day! I'm sure I'll post many pictures and funny stories of her along the way.

Andrew is absolutely the one person in this world I was meant to be with. We compliment each other very well. Andrew is hoping to return to school next fall for Network Administration and is currently in the role of MR.MOM in our household while I work Thursday thru Saturday at the local nursing home. He is my hero, and Lily thinks the world of him. He is extremely witty and sarcastic, but a big ol' teddy bear when it comes right down to it, he is my rock!

These two are my world!

Before Lily was born, Andrew and I spent most of our time with our "Fur Babies"- our two cats Lady (girl), a very pretty gray tabby, and Riley(boy), a Siamese. Lady is the eldest of the two at about 6 years old, she was a stray that I rescued while I was still living at home in college. Riley is still very a much a kitten at 2 years young, and was also a stray that some co-workers found in our parking lot - I couldn't say no to a little fluff ball like him! They're very different from one another and when they're not making me want to pull my hair out, they're cuddled up on my lap or watching over Lily.

I'm big into PC gaming. I've played World of Warcraft for nearly 7 years, and it is how I met my husband, Andrew. I'm an officer in the guild that brought us together, Honored Knights. They are my home away from home on the internet! I'm also a member of the online gaming community, Dirt Nap Gaming! A very large competitive gaming clan, but a really fun bunch of people to hang out with!

I'm also a pretty crafty person. I'm always looking for something new to make, something to REmake, etc. I like to keep myself busy!

A few little known facts about me (or DEFINITELY known...)

• I'm a t-shirt and jeans kind of gal. Or t-shirt and skirts...yes, I wear that in public.
• I love wine, red or blush, not a fan of white! But in moderation of course. ;)
• I'm a night owl, hence why I currently work 3rd shift and LOVE IT!
• I have several tattoos, all which hold special meaning to me.
• My favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings trilogy (and soon to be HOBBIT trilogy!), the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
• I love pickles and milk. Not one in the other, or vice versa, but eating pickles while drinking milk. And no, it wasn't just a pregnancy craving, this was a favorite long before that. Couldn't tell you why, but to me it's delicious!
